Tupamaki O Energy impact knowledge-based system in buildingAbstract:The objective of EIKS is to assist in overcoming the barriers that hinder the realisation of opti- mal energy efficiency in buildings - in particular those that relate to the lack of integration in the design process. This will be achieved through the development of an initial knowledge- based assistive information and decision support system (KBS) drawing on best practice and best available technologies. Industry input and feedback on the proposed knowledge-based system (KBS) are being obtained through a number of international thematic workshops in Finland, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
