Summary: |
The goal of this paper is to define the processes that enable the simulation of an autonomous pedestrian’s journeys in confined spaces; and to determine their paths beginning with random processes under preset parameters in a generic fashion as well as doing so in a manner independent from walking movement. We present a conceptual model designed to generate pedestrian journeys, taking into account the focuses of attraction and their influence in the paths taken. In order to implement this model, we add to an architectural blueprint the elements necessary to recognize the geometric characteristics of the World (Limits, Focuses and Portals) that affect the displacements of pedestrians. These characteristics enable us to determine the paths to be taken in the World. The issues of the simulation (the position that each pedestrian occupies for unit of time) can be used by other applications, to generate animations or to verify critical situations. |
