| Summary: | The paper takes note of ideas of the Collaborative Integrated Communications for Construction (CICC) and examines the application of computer graphics animation as a tool of computer integrated construction management by focusing on its ability to expedite communication. Several pilot trials have been implemented on a highway reconstruction project in Kobe, Japan, where much of its infrastructure suffered from severe damages due to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995, and on a currently ongoing industrial district readjustment project in Osaka, Japan, where a major US-based theme park is invited. |
