The monitoring system is to measure the weather and structural conditions of a bridge. Themeasured data are logged in a database, and at the same time, processed by a personalcomputer to obtain a primary result of analysis. The database would also be used for moreprecise analyses, including a statistical one to review the design method and work out morereasonable one. This paper introduces the outline of the monitoring system, highlighting onthe actual application which was employed in the Honshu-Shikoku Bridges. |
