Summary: |
Tenure choice and dwelling type choice are two important parts in decision process of housing demand, and both of them are closely connected. Most of studies focused on tenure choice and ignored the relationship between it and dwelling type. The other few studies still can’t explain decision process and meaning of housing demand of households. Nowadays, Logisitc regressions are commonly used to model decision process of housing demand, but the models are controversially inadequate and restricted. Therefore, multinominal logit model and nested logit model can be used to model joint choice of tenure and dwelling type, and the inclusive value which provided from nested logit model can be used to identify the decision process of housing demand. This study tries to model housing demand and to discuss the relationship between tenure choice and dwelling type choice. |
