Paper title: Projeto de Habitações de Interesse Social segundo uma abordagem generativa
Authors: Romano, Elisabetta; Tonoli, Giancarlo
Summary: Assuming that the city is not an accomplished system, but a living body, in constant development, this study proposes a Grasshopper generative algorithm, which aims to interpret the favelas’ dynamics forces, responsible for these spaces continuous transformations. The generative process so defined is an open project, where the inhabitants are free to adapt the house, along the time, to their specific space demand, even respecting some assembling rules and constructive principles. The final result is a social dwelling construction process where flexibility and adaptability are integrated into the project, and where the variable time accomplish an important role into space configuration.
