Summary: |
The Web offers the means to reach out to potential customers and clients. It enablesthe establishment of a communication link that allows designers to probe thepreferences of their customers, and potential clients to be heard in the designprocess. It also serves as a communication platform for customers and otherinterested parties to share and express ideas and concerns. Opening up the designprocess to future stakeholders and other concerned parties is particularlyaccommodating in the aspiration to a consensus model, as is the case in Dutcharchitecture. We present two residential development projects in which the Webserves to reach out to customers and clients, and discuss additional techniques tostrengthen and nurture their role in the design process. |
