Summary: |
The specification of effective and robust construction schedules is a challenging task. In construction practice more and more claims are based on quality defects. Therefore, it is necessary to consider quality influences already during construction scheduling. Within this paper the formalization of certain quality aspects and the integration into the constraint-based simulation approach is presented. Experience of workers, qualitative relationship between tasks and available execution time are modeled as the so-called Quality Control strategy and represented by using fuzzy soft constraints. If a Quality Control soft constraint of a construction task is violated, the requested quality cannot be guaranteed. Thus, using constraint-based simulation valid schedules can be generated considering certain quality demands. Finally, a lab-tested case study of a simplified building storey with certain finishing trades is presented. |
