||A Data-Warehouse Architecture supporting Energy Management of Buildings

||Environmental legislative and economical drivers require more efficient and accurate energy management of buildings. Current building management systems do not have the capabilities of energy specific monitoring and management. Therefore, this paper addresses this deficit by introducing a holistic N-dimensional information management system. The proposed system consists of: a data warehouse core to store, integrate and analyse the complex data sets, an extraction, transformation, loading tool and context sensitive information representation components for decision support and monitoring. The proposed system is implemented in a test building at University College Cork, Ireland.
